-- The Melbourne Institute said its monthly inflation gauge recorded another increase in April, mainly driven by higher recreation-related prices, largely due to rising airfares, the Institute said in a Monday report.
The monthly cost of living also increased in April, especially for employees and self-funded retirees.
Annual headline inflation stood at 4.3%, the report said.
The gauge estimates month-to-month price movements for a wide-ranging basket of goods and services across the main capital cities of Australia.
