Medicenna Picked to Deliver Oral Presentation on Bizaxofusp at Neuro-Oncology Meeting in November

Medicenna Therapeutics (MDNA.TO) said Thursday that it has been selected to deliver an oral presentation on its immunotherapy candidate bizaxofusp (formerly MDNA55) at a Society for Neuro-Oncology (SNO) meeting in Philadelphia in November.

The presentation, to be delivered by Nicholas Butowski, professor of Neurological Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco, will evaluate survival outcomes in patients with a certain type of recurrent glioblastoma (rGBM), a statement said.

"Selection for an oral presentation at SNO highlights the interest of the neuro-oncology community in the continued clinical development of bizaxofusp for patients with recurrent glioblastoma," said Fahar Merchant, Medicenna's chief executive officer. "We look forward to presenting this survival analysis in the intended Phase 3 population and continue engaging with leading clinicians, researchers and potential pharma partners during SNO 2026."

Medicenna shares were last seen up CA$0.005 at CA$0.41 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Kinross Gold Lowers 2026, 2027 Gold Production Outlook

Kinross Gold (K.TO) after trade Wednesday lowered its 2026 and 2027 production outlook, now expecting annual attributable production of about 1.84 million to 1.86 million gold equivalent ounces, 2% to 3% under its prior targets.The change to the guidance is mainly due to extreme weather and operational challenges at two smaller mines, La Coipa and Round Mountain, the company said, adding that it expects to produce about 425,000 gold equivalent ounces in the third quarter.The company also said it now expects production cost of sales for 2026 of about $1,420 to $1,460 per gold equivalent ounce sold and all-in sustaining costs of about $1,850 to $1,900 per ounce sold."Reflecting its strong cash flow outlook and balance sheet strength, Kinross is increasing its return of capital target from 40% to 50% of free cash flow to shareholders for 2026," it added.
