Medcaptain Medical Launches HK$600 Million Hong Kong IPO

Medcaptain Medical Technology (HKG:2041) launched its Hong Kong initial public offering on Friday, seeking to raise HK$600 million.

The Shenzhen-headquartered medical device provider is offering 38.9 million shares at HK$15.42 each, according to a Thursday bourse filing.

The issuer expects to disclose the allocation results on Sept. 4 and start trading on the Hong Kong bourse on Sept. 7.

Deal proceeds will be used to fund research and development, upgrade production lines, invest in new manufacturing facilities, enhance IT infrastructure, finance M&As and sales and marketing activities, and boost working capital.

Morgan Stanley, Huatai Financial, BNP Paribas, Celestial Securities, Eddid Securities, Futu Securities, Huafu International Securities, Jinluo Securities, SBI China Capital, TradeGo Markets, UOB Kay Hian and Yuet Sheung International are the joint bookrunners and lead managers.

Qantas Airways to Start Retiring A380 Fleet in 2028; Shares Gain 4%

Qantas Airways (ASX:QAN) will start retiring its Airbus A380 airliner fleet in 2028, replacing it with aircraft that can fly further and operate on all of the airline's international network routes, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.The company is in talks with Airbus and Boeing to convert around 20 of its purchase right options to firm orders starting from 2030, per the filing."This fleet renewal is expected to significantly improve Qantas International's earnings performance and reduce operational complexity," with its operating margin forecast to increase to between 10% and 12% from fiscal 2032, the company said.Qantas CEO Vanessa Hudson said the company took delivery of 17 new aircraft in fiscal 2026 with up to 31 more to arrive in the year ahead.The company's shares gained 4% in recent Thursday trade.

Gree Electric Appliances H1 Profit, Revenue Down 8%
