MDA Space (MDA.TO) secured a contract to supply a synthetic aperture radar satellite to the Canadian Space Agency.
Under the contract, MDA Space will design, build, test, launch and commission the next-generation sovereign satellite that will be added to the existing Earth observation constellation, the company said Wednesday.
MDA will assemble and test the satellite at its Montreal facility, and the contract follows an initial C$44.7 million award to procure and deliver long lead parts awarded in December 2025, MDA said.
MDA Space will add the contract to its backlog in the second quarter of fiscal 2026.
