Max Power Mining (MAXX.CN) said Thursday that it had cased the Lawson 2 validation well, which it says demonstrates its hypothesis of a "large and robust" natural hydrogen system at the Lawson Complex in Saskatchewan.
Drilling at Lawson 3 has already begun. Energy consultant GLJ is carrying out extensive data integration from the first two wells and will work with MAX Power to advance modeling of the deposit and select an optimal location for the drilling of Lawson 4, the statement added.
"Lawson 2 has further demonstrated that we're into a large Alkaline igneous complex with all the ingredients necessary to generate accumulations of Natural Hydrogen - the right source rocks, migration pathways, reservoirs, seals and traps," said MAX Power Chief Geoscientist Steve Halabura.
Max Power shares were last seen down C$0.05 at C$2.28 on the Canadian Securities Exchange.
