Matsa Resources Drilling at Western Australia Prospect Returns Significant Gold Mineralization

Matsa Resources (ASX:MAT) said initial diamond drilling at the Fortitude North prospect within its Lake Carey gold project in Western Australia returned significant gold mineralization across multiple stacked lodes, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.

The drilling results include 8.4 meters at 3.62 grams per tonne grade of gold from 123.6 meters; 6.9 meters at 3.08 g/t from 106.5 meters; three meters at 5.26 g/t from 124 meters; 2.9 meters at 8.67 g/t from 286.7 meters; 15.2 meters at 2.93 g/t from 298.8 meters; 12.8 meters at 2.43 g/t from 128.4 meters; and five meters at 2.95 g/t from 185.5 meters.

The results point to "excellent upside" for the largely unexplored gold project, Matsa said, adding that the company is undertaking an initial 10,000-meter drilling campaign at Fortitude North.

NLC India, National Aluminium Sign JV for 1,080 MW Captive Thermal Power Project in Odisha, India

NLC India (NSE:NLCINDIA, BOM:513683) agreed to form a joint venture with National Aluminium (NSE:NATIONALUM, BOM:532234) to develop a 1,080 MW coal-based thermal captive power plant in Angul in Odisha, India, according to a Wednesday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.The 4×270 MW power plant will be set up to meet the captive power requirement of National Aluminium's 0.5 million tons per annum aluminium smelter expansion project.The joint venture, which will have equal equity participation from the two companies, will execute a fuel supply agreement with NLC India from its Machhakata coal mine or any other mines for 25 years.It will also sign a 25-year power purchase pact with National Aluminium for 100% offtake of power.
