Matsa Resources (ASX:MAT) said initial diamond drilling at the Fortitude North prospect within its Lake Carey gold project in Western Australia returned significant gold mineralization across multiple stacked lodes, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.
The drilling results include 8.4 meters at 3.62 grams per tonne grade of gold from 123.6 meters; 6.9 meters at 3.08 g/t from 106.5 meters; three meters at 5.26 g/t from 124 meters; 2.9 meters at 8.67 g/t from 286.7 meters; 15.2 meters at 2.93 g/t from 298.8 meters; 12.8 meters at 2.43 g/t from 128.4 meters; and five meters at 2.95 g/t from 185.5 meters.
The results point to "excellent upside" for the largely unexplored gold project, Matsa said, adding that the company is undertaking an initial 10,000-meter drilling campaign at Fortitude North.
