Marvell Technology to Keep Gaining From AI, Optical, Custom Chip Growth, RBC Says

By

Marvell Technology (MRVL) is set for stronger growth as AI demand lifts optical networking, custom chips and data center sales, while Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google program could add major revenue from fiscal 2029, RBC Capital Markets said in a note emailed Friday.

The investment firm said it expects data center growth to stay strong, helped by rising demand for 800G and 1.6T optical products, with faster growth expected from newer scale-up networking uses.

Marvell's custom chip business should accelerate through fiscal 2028, led by Amazon (AMZN) Web Services' Trainium and Microsoft's (MSFT) MAIA programs, with another major step-up expected in fiscal 2029, RBC said.

Google is expected to become a bigger growth driver from fiscal 2029 and the program could push Marvell's custom chip revenue well above its current target of more than $10 billion, RBC said.

RBC maintained its outperform rating and $360 price target for Marvell.
