President Donald Trump said the U.S. was "very close" to finalizing the proposed bilateral trade deal with India, Asian News International reported Thursday.
The trade agreement was part of negotiations between Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the G7 summit in France on Wednesday, the report said.
U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer will visit India next week to finalize the deal's framework, the report said, citing Indian commerce secretary Rajesh Agrawal's earlier statement.
