US President Donald Trump is considering military strikes against Iran that would exceed the scale of Operation Epic Fury, though he has yet to make a final decision, Axios reported Thursday, citing an interview with the president.
Trump said Iran wants to negotiate but has not yet faced enough pressure to reach an agreement. He also said Israel would join the operation if requested, although the US could launch the strikes on its own, according to the report.
Two US officials told the publication no military orders have been issued, although Trump said US forces are prepared if he authorizes the operation.
The White House and the US Central Command did not immediately reply to' request for comment.
