US President Donald Trump has said that a peace deal with Iran is possible over the next 2-3 days, the Associated Press reported on Tuesday.
"We have a good chance" of signing a deal in "two or three days," the report quoted him as saying.
Trump who was addressing reporters at the John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York on Monday night, said a very strong, powerful deal was close to being finalized, the report said.
In a post on Truth Social earlier on Monday, Trump said that final negotiations were proceeding and indicated that things could move quickly.
"The blockade will remain in place, and in full force and effect, until a 'final deal' is reached. Things should move quickly," he said.
