Tesla (TSLA) and SpaceX (SPCX) may eventually merge after SpaceX's initial public offering in a move that would consolidate Elon Musk's control across his companies, according to early SpaceX investor Peter Diamandis, Bloomberg News reported Wednesday, citing an interview.
The combination would give Musk the super-voting rights he has at SpaceX and lacks at Tesla, Diamandis said, according to the report. "I put it not as a matter of if but only a matter of when those companies come together," he said in the interview.
Tesla and SpaceX didn't immediately reply to requests for comment from.
