A tentative trade deal with the US could see tariffs on certain Canadian exports of steel and aluminum halved to 25%, Bloomberg reported Wednesday afternoon.
Talks between US and Canadian trade negotiators continued Wednesday, after President Donald Trump paused the 50% levies on C$28 billion of Canadian goods that were to come into effect today.
Canadian steel and aluminum currently face up to a 50% tariff.
