The Tata Group is looking to make a 100 billion rupee investment in shipbuilding in Kerala, Bloomberg reported Wednesday citing V.D. Satheesan, chief minister of the state.
The company's request for government approval for the investment is under review and go-ahead is expected to be granted within a month, Satheesan said during an interview.
The state government is expected to provide the land for the project, Bloomberg said, citing the chief minister.
The Tata Group did not immediately respond to' request for a comment.
