T. Rowe Price (TROW) Chief Executive Officer Rob Sharps has predicted that it will take another couple of years to reverse the outflows amid passive competition, the Financial Times reported Friday.
The company is considering options like acquisitions in growth areas in a bid to ease the ongoing strain and return to positive flows faster, the report said, citing an interview with Sharps.
"Where you see inflows at peers, it tends to be passive. It tends to be more ETF-driven. It tends to be [alternatives] and it tends to be fixed income," Sharps said, according to the report.
