Market Chatter: Saudi Arabia's Red Sea Crude Exports Reach Record Highs Ahead of Blockade Threat

Saudi Arabian exports of crude from the Red Sea reached a record of 5.9 million barrels per day in the week up to July 17, Bloomberg News reported Tuesday, citing a compilation of tanker tracking.

The record comes just before Yemen's Houthis warned of a blockade of Saudi shipments. Vessels are still headed to Saudi Arabia's Red Sea ports despite the threats, the news outlet noted.

The Saudi Oil Ministry did not immediately respond to' requests for comment.
