Lukoil (LKOH.ME) halted operations at its Norsi oil refinery in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod region after a Ukrainian drone attack damaged the facility on Wednesday, Reuters reported the same day, citing industry sources.
The drone strike hit several processing units, inter-unit infrastructure, and general plant facilities. It is still unclear how long repairs will take or when operations may resume, the sources added.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in a Wednesday post on Telegram, reported a fire within the premises of the Norsi plant after the attack.
Lukoil did not immediately respond to a request for comment from.
