Flashlight Capital Partners has sought access to the shareholder registers from five Samsung Group affiliates that collectively hold a 20.6% stake in S-1 Corp as part of its efforts to improve performance and shareholder returns, Reuters reported Wednesday.
Flashlight founder and CEO Sanghyun Lee said that the move is to exert outsized influence over S-1, which has underperformed the benchmark KOSPI in recent years, the report said.
The five Samsung Group affiliates include Samsung SDI (KRX:006400), Samsung Life Insurance (KRX:032830), Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance (KRX:000810), Samsung Securities Co., Ltd. (KRX:016360) and Samsung Card (KRX:029780).
