Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance's Net Income Rises 4.4% in Q1; Shares Rise 6%
Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance (KRX:000810) posted first-quarter net income of 634.7 billion won, up 4.4% from 608.1 billion won a year earlier, according to a Thursday filing with the Korea Exchange.The South Korean insurance company's sales rose 9.3% to 6.676 trillion won from 6.105 trillion won.Shares of Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance rose nearly 6% in recent trade.
