CXMT (SHA:688825) plans to build a second memory chip plant in Beijing, Reuters reported on Monday, citing two people familiar with the matter.
The proposed 12-inch plant would be built in Yizhuang, where the company already runs a dynamic random access memory chip fabrication facility, the sources reportedly said.
CXMT is also in talks with the development zone's governing body for at least 60 million yuan in financing for the project, the report said, citing the people.
The size and structure of any funding support are not yet final, the newswire quoted the sources as saying.
CXMT did not immediately respond to' request for comment.
