China has revoked curbs on the exports of refined fuel for the remainder of the month and has permitted one private refiner to restart shipments after four months, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing trade sources.
China's removal of limitation on refined fuel exports, imposed in March to ensure ample domestic supply, indicates a return towards normal from the disruptions due to the Iran-war and is expected to lower transport fuel prices in Asia, the report said.
It may also drive state refiners to increase output and take advantage of strong export margins, thereby increasing oil shipments to China, the world's largest importer.
However, there is no clarity yet on whether exports will continue without restrictions in August, it added.
