Boeing (BA) is nearing an agreement to supply as many as 10 long-haul cargo aircraft to Ethiopian Airlines, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing two industry sources.
The prospective transaction will likely include two current-generation 777F freighters alongside six to eight 777-8F models, whose development has been delayed, as the carrier advances plans for a new African hub, the news outlet quoted the sources as saying.
Boeing and Ethiopian Airlines did not immediately respond to' request for comment.
Shares of Boeing were up 2.3% in Wednesday trading.
