Malaysian shares closed slightly lower to end in red zone on Thursday, amid a mixed regional performance.
The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI, the main gauge of Malaysian stocks, shed 6.82 points to end 0.4% lower at 1,741.72.
In corporate news, shares of CBH Engineering (KLSE:CBHB) slid about 2% on close after its unit CBH Engineering secured a 59.6 million ringgit work order for electrical infrastructure works at a data center in Johor, Malaysia.
Sime Darby (KLSE:SIME) said profit attributable to owners plunged 58% to 322 million ringgit in the fiscal fourth quarter ended June 30 from 763 million ringgit a year earlier.
MISC's (KLSE:MISC) attributable profit shot up to 1.15 billion ringgit in the second quarter of 2026 from 464.4 million ringgit a year ago. Shares were marginally up on today's close.
