Macronix International (TPE:2337) procured a batch of machinery equipment from ASML Taiwan for about NT$3.33 billion, according to a Tuesday Taiwna Exchange filing.
Shares rose 6% in Wednesday's midday trade.
The purchases were made between March 27 and July 14.
Macronix said the equipment will be used for production.
