Lupin (NSE:LUPIN, BOM:500257) and its alliance partner Natco Pharma (NSE:NATCOPHARM, BOM:524816) said the US Food and Drug Administration has approved Eribulin Mesylate injection, 1 mg/2 mL, according to a filing.
The drug is a generic version of Eisai Inc.'s reference drug Halaven, the filing said. It is used for the treatment of metastatic breast cancer in patients who have received prior chemotherapy and for unresectable or metastatic liposarcoma.
Halaven recorded estimated annual US sales of $43.7 million, based on IQVIA MAT April 2026 data, it added.
Shares of Natco Pharma fell over 1% in Wednesday's trade.
