Lithium Ionic (LTH.V) has signed an 18-month lease agreement to secure direct access to a reliable construction-phase water source for its Bandeira project in Brazil.
The water agreement supports site-level construction planning and is a key de-risking milestone, the company said. Lithium Ionic's water-use authorization was issued by Brazil's National Water Agency, or ANA.
Lithium Ionic has completed a three-year mine plan and a refined life-of-mine plan for Bandeira. It has also completed basic engineering for the two underground mine portals.
