Lightspeed Commerce Appoints Rupal Hollenbeck to Board of Directors

Lightspeed Commerce (LSPD.TO, LSPD) appointed Rupal Hollenbeck to its board of directors, effective Oct. 1, it said Tuesday.

Hollenbeck currently serves as the chief business officer of NextSilicon and is on the board of directors for Cequence Security, said the company.

She has served as president and chief commercial officer of Check Point Software Technologies (CHKP) and also as chief marketing officer at Cerebras Systems (CBRS) and Oracle (ORCL), added the company.

"Her experience scaling technology businesses and building high-performing, global go-to-market organizations sets her up extremely well to add immediate value to Lightspeed as we execute our strategy and continue to deliver profitable growth for our shareholders," said Executive Chair Manon Brouillette.

The company also said Nathalie Gaveau will step down from its board of directors, effective Sept. 30.

The company's shares were last seen up C$0.02 to C$14.66 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Theralase Technologies Closes C$3.6 Million Private Placement

Theralase Technologies (TLT.V) after trade Monday said it closed a C$3.6-million private placement, issuing 14.8-million units at C$0.24 each.Each unit includes a share and one warrant and a warrant expiring in May, 2031 with each warrant to buy another share for C$0.32.The company plans to use the funds to complete safety studies for its cancer treatment Rutherrin and its cold sore treatment Ruvidar, as well as for working capital and general corporate purposes, it said.The warrants are set to begin trading on the TSX Venture Exchange around Aug. 27, subject to final approval, according to the statement.

Badger Infrastructure Solutions (BDGI.TO) after trade Monday said the Toronto Stock Exchange accepted its notice to conduct a share buyback program.The company may buy back up to 2.96-million shares from Aug. 27, for one year.Under its current normal course issuer bid, which expires tomorrow, Badger purchased 65,162 shares out of an allowed 2.91-million sharesBadger shares closed down C$0.91 to C$83.67 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
