Liberty Gold (LGD.TO) has submitted a preliminary design report to the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality as part of the state's permitting process for the Black Pine Oxide Gold Project, the company said Wednesday.
The Preliminary Cyanidation Design Report includes the project's initial process plant and heap leach design features, operating plans and a proposed groundwater monitoring framework.
Liberty Gold plans to submit the formal cyanidation permit application package in the first quarter of 2027.
Additionally, the company is now a member of the International Cyanide Management Institute and signatory to the International Cyanide Management Code. Liberty Gold will pursue a pre-operational design certification through ICMI after a formal cyanidation permit application has been submitted.
