Liberty Gold (LGD.TO) provided the results from its phase-six metallurgical test program on the Black Pine oxide gold project in Idaho.
Gold extractions from the bulk column leaching program validated projected operating gold leach recoveries outlined in previous feasibility studies for the project, the company said Thursday.
After testing seven samples under standard test conditions for Black Pine oxide gold material, the company said the average weighted gold extraction for the bulk columns was 72.4%, in line with modeled recoveries in a feasibility study published Sept. 8.
Liberty said the results provide additional confidence that the company can achieve predicted gold recoveries through a low-cost run-of-mine processing strategy.
