Lendlease Global Commercial REIT Gets Tax Ruling on SG$120 Million Bonds

Lendlease Global Commercial REIT (SGX:JYEU) was issued a tax ruling by the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore for its SG$120 million 4.28% perpetual bonds, agreeing to treat the bonds as debt securities for income tax purposes.

The retail and office trust said the distributions on the bonds will be regarded as interest payable on indebtedness, according to a Tuesday Singapore bourse filing.

The bonds will qualify as debt bonds, allowing holders to the associated tax concessions and exemptions.
