Lear (LEA) filed a registration statement Friday with the US Securities and Exchange Commission for the potential sale of company securities.
The filing covers common and preferred stock, warrants, subscription rights, and stock purchase contracts or units, according to the company.
Proceeds from the offering will be used towards working capital and other general corporate purposes, including refinancing of debt, Lear said.
Shares of the company were down 2.6% in early Friday trading.
