Largo Appoints James Bannantine as Co-CEO

Largo (LGO.TO, LGO) appointed James Bannantine as co-chief executive officer, it said Thursday.

Bannantine succeeds Daniel Tellechea, who is retiring from the co-CEO role. Tellechea will continue to serve as a company adviser and board member, the company said in a news release.

Bannantine will serve as co-CEO alongside Alberto Arias. Bannantine previously was the CEO of Aura Minerals and Great Panther Mining, Largo said.

"His extensive experience makes him uniquely qualified across multiple critical areas of expertise important for Largo such as, open pit mining operational turnarounds in Latin America, energy sector leadership experience, work for the U.S. Department of Defense as an engineer and contracting officer and operating experience in both the mining and energy sectors in Brazil, where he lived for several years," said Arias.

The company's shares were last seen down C$0.03, or 3%, at C$0.96 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

They closed down C$1.1 at C$49.8 on Toronto Stock Exchange on Wednesday.

WSP Global Reports Higher Earnings and Revenue for the Second Quarter; Q3, 2026 Outlooks Set

WSP Global (WSP.TO) after trade Wednesday reported second-quarter adjusted net earnings per share of C$2.88, up from C$2.35 a year ago.Analysts polled by FactSet expected C$2.83.Revenue for the quarter ended June 26 was C$5.40 billion, up from C$4.51 billion a year ago. Net revenue rose to C$4.27 billion, compared with C$3.48 billion a year earlier.Analysts polled by FactSet expected sales of C$4.22 billion.The company raised the lower end of its 2026 net revenue guidance to C$16.2 billion from C$16 billion, while maintaining the upper end at C$17 billion. For Q3, it expects net revenue of C$4.15 billion to C$4.35 billion.
