Lake Resources (ASX:LKE) said authorities in the Argentine province of Catamarca initiated a statutory public consultation phase for the company's flagship Kachi lithium brine project, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
The public consultation is expected to conclude at the end of August, representing the final administrative stage of the environmental impact assessment approval process.
The issuance of the environmental impact declaration, or the formal decision approving the project from an environmental perspective, is expected by the end of September, per the filing.
Lake Resources shares gained 5% in recent Monday trade.
