Kyowa Kirin (TYO:4151) profit attributable to owners of the parent jumped 88% to 30.6 billion yen for the first half ended June 30 from 16.3 billion yen a year earlier.
The biotech company's basic earnings per share soared to 58.48 yen from 31.18 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Monday.
Revenue in H1 surged 14.3% year on year to 263.6 billion yen from 230.7 billion yen.
The company declared a second-quarter dividend of 35 yen per share.
For the full year ending Dec. 31, the company expects profit of 75 billion yen, basic EPS of 143.27 yen, and revenue of 520 billion yen.
The company expects to pay a year-end dividend of 35.00 yen per share for the year.
