Kinden (TYO:1944) posted a 127.6% year-over-year increase in net profit attributable to owners of the parent to 9.9 billion yen for the three months ended June 30 from 4.34 billion yen.
The construction company's basic earnings per share rose to 52.18 yen from 21.92 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Wednesday.
Net sales jumped 14.8% to 162.4 billion yen from 141.41 billion yen in the year-ago period.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company forecasts an attributable profit of 70 billion yen, EPS of 406.46 yen, and net sales of 810 billion yen.
The company plans to pay a second-quarter dividend of 120 yen per share for the current fiscal year.
