Solar equipment supplier JinkoSolar will supply two gigawatts of photovoltaic solar modules to Masdar, as per a recent supply agreement reached between the companies for a major renewables project in Abu Dhabi, UAE, JinkoSolar said on Tuesday.
JinkoSolar will supply its Tiger Neo series modules for use in what it says will be the world's first gigascale round-the-clock renewable energy project in Abu Dhabi, known as RTC.
The project will be developed by Masdar and the Emirates Water and Electricity Company and will feature 5.2 GW of solar photovoltaic generation with a 19 GWh battery energy storage system that will be the largest and most advanced in the world, Jingko's statement said.
