Jinan Acetate Chemical to Acquire Cerdia for $400 Million

Jinan Acetate Chemical (TPE:4763) has approved a share purchase and share exchange agreement to acquire 100% of Cerdia Holding from funds managed by Blackstone for about $400 million, according to a Monday filing with the Taiwan Stock Exchange.

The chemical manufacturer intends to issue common shares, representing approximately 9.95% of its total equity, and cash consideration of roughly $200 million for the acquisition.

The acquisition will help the company extend its footprint across Asia, Europe, North America and South America.
