Japan's labor market tightness held steady in July, with the active jobs-to-applications ratio steadying at 1.18, according to data from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare released on Friday.
The reading, unchanged from the previous month, was lower than the consensus forecast of 1.19 tracked by Investing.com. The figure indicates that there were 118 available job openings for every 100 job seekers across the country.
Meanwhile, the new jobs-to-applications ratio fell to 2.10 from 2.16 the previous month.
