Japan's labor market tightness improved in June, with the active jobs-to-applications ratio growing to 1.18 from 1.17 in the prior month, according to data from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare released on Friday.
The reading beat the consensus forecast of 1.17 tracked by Investing.com. The figure indicates that there were 118 available job openings for every 100 job seekers across the country.
Meanwhile, the new jobs-to-applications ratio grew to 2.16 from 2.11 the previous month.
