Japan's Construction Orders Fall in July

New orders for construction work received by Japan's major contractors slumped 13.4% year over year in July, according to data from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) on Monday.

The reading, which tracks total order values across 50 representative construction firms, compared with a 2.3% increase recorded in the previous month and missed the 5% growth forecast by Trading Economics.
