Japan's capacity utilization rate rose 4.1% on a seasonally adjusted month-over-month basis in June, according to data from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) on Monday.
The reading was higher than the Trading Economics forecast for a 0.3% increase and follows the 0.1% expansion the prior month.
The seasonally adjusted capacity utilization index stood at 107.2 points against the 2020 baseline of 100.
