Japan's coincident economic index, which measures current economic activity against a 2020 base of 100, rose to 118.5 points in June from 117.9 in May, according to data from the Cabinet Office released Tuesday.
The latest print was revised upward from the preliminary estimate of 118.2 and beat the Trading Economics forecast of 118.2 points.
