Japan's coincident economic index, which measures current economic activity against a 2020 base of 100, was revised downward to 117.9 in May from the previous estimate of 118.5, according to data from the Cabinet Office released Monday.
The final print is now lower than April's 118.1 reading, also missing the Trading Economics forecast of 118.4 points.
