James Hardie Industries (ASX:JHX) said late on Monday that its unit James Hardie Building Products designated Boise Cascade as its sole nationwide distribution partner for exterior building products in the US, according to a statement.
James Hardie Building Products and Boise Cascade expanded their partnership, under which the latter's building materials distribution division will become the sole nationwide distributor of James Hardie's and its North American affiliates' exterior building products in the US, effective July 31. James Hardie will consolidate its distribution network across all regional markets. Boise Cascade will transition away from distributing competitive siding, trim, and exterior moulding products.
The unit also said in a separate statement that it expanded its portfolio arrangements with several of its existing regional distributors to include its exterior building products in select locations.
The distributors include Capital Lumber, Dixie Plywood and Lumber, Lumbermen's, Parksite, Woodgrain, and Woolf Distributing. They will carry Hardie siding and trim in their product lines alongside existing AZEK and TimberTech products.
