Itochu (TYO:8001) said it will launch a 300 billion yen buyback program, repurchasing up to 190 million common shares, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing on Monday.
The buyback will cover a 150 billion yen tender offer, with the remaining amount to be used to acquire shares through market purchases on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The trading house said that the shares will be repurchased between Aug. 4, 2026, and Jan. 29, 2027, and the repurchases represent 2.7% of its issued share capital, excluding treasury stock.
