ispace Unit, European Space Agency Sign EUR65 Million ESA Lunar Rove Deal

ispace's (TYO:9348) Luxembourg unit, ispace EUROPE, signed a supplemental agreement with the European Space Agency worth 65 million euros to develop a lunar rover for the MAGPIE mission.

The Phase 2 agreement covers the rover's development, manufacturing, operation and transportation, according to a Friday Japan Exchange filing.

The rover is planned to fly as a payload on ispace's Mission 4, scheduled for launch in 2029.

The company said the contract has already been factored into its earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027.
