Intrepid Metals (INTR.V) has started a rock and soil sampling program at the Mattie Prospect within its Corral Copper Project in Cochise County, Arizona, it said Tuesday.
The field program is expected to be completed in approximately three weeks, said the company. The company plans to collect around 1,170 soil samples across an area of approximately 1,900 by 1,500 meters, added Intrepid.
"This initial systematic program will help us build a stronger geological and geochemical framework for Mattie and determine the most effective next steps for advancing the prospect," said Interim CEO Matt Lennox-King.
The company's shares were last seen down C$0.02, or 2.5%, to C$0.76 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
