Intermap Technologies (IMP.TO) has been awarded a subcontract through a defense prime contractor for a U.S. Department of Defense program on developing alternative navigation technologies.
The award, Intermap's third, builds on its previous work with the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory. The program is advancing navigation capabilities for military, aerospace and autonomous systems that operate in environments where GPS signals are unavailable, or disrupted, the company said.
"Intermap's proprietary 3D geospatial data, terrain intelligence and advanced analytics provide unique capabilities for these next-generation systems," said Chief Executive Patrick Blott. "This award further validates our strategy of transforming proprietary geospatial data into mission-critical intelligence solutions supporting some of the world's most important defense and aerospace challenges."
