Intermap Technologies Acquiring PCI Geomatics

Intermap Technologies (IMP.TO) is acquiring PCI Geomatics for $11 million cash, the company said Wednesday.

PCI is a provider of commercial geospatial image processing technologies, with more than 750 proprietary algorithms supporting imagery from more than 500 satellites in-orbit, and embedded in thousands of workflows worldwide, a statement said.

The arrangement is expected to increase Intermap's recurring commercial subscriptions and repeat contracted licenses.

Intermap Technologies closed up C$0.05, to C$1.07 on Tuesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

They closed down C$0.58 to C$22.70 on Toronto Stock Exchange.

First Quantum Minerals Swings to a Q2 Loss Even as Revenue Rises; 2026 Outlook Maintained

First Quantum Minerals (FM.TO) after trade Tuesday reported a Q2 adjusted loss of $0.13 per share, compared with adjusted earnings of $0.02 per share a year ago.Analysts polled by FactSet expected a loss of $0.06 per share.Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was $1.52 billion, up from $1.23 billion a year earlier.Analysts expected revenue of $1.40 billion.The company said its 2026 guidance remains unchanged, however, it "continues to note a potential impact to C1 copper cash costs of approximately $0.25 per lb to reflect the year-to-date impact of higher fuel prices and Zambian kwacha rates as well as potential further impact if current fuel prices and Zambian kwacha rates persist for the remainder of the year."
