India has set a maximum LPG production potential of 63,810 metric tons per day for refineries and upstream oil companies under an order issued Aug. 13 by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry
The total comprises 57,350 metric tons per day from public- and private-sector companies and 6,460 metric tons per day from upstream fields, according to the order.
The order requires oil companies to maintain adequate infrastructure for LPG storage, evacuation, and transport, and implement technically and economically feasible measures to increase production beyond current minimum levels.
