India's official unemployment rate fell to 5.1% in July from 5.5% in June, according to the monthly Periodic Labour Force Survey bulletin released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation on Monday.
Urban unemployment rose to 6.7% from 6.6%, while rural joblessness stood at 4.5% in July versus 5% in June.
The Labour Force Participation Rate edged up to 55.4% from 54.4%, while the Worker Population Ratio moved to 52.5% from 51.4%.
